Susan Nangwale

Susan Nangwale is the Manager Equity and Venture Capital at Uganda Development Bank Ltd (UDB), a national non-deposit taking Development Finance Institution. She has held this position since inception of the Bank’s Equity Investment Unit in 2019 and was previously an Investment Manager in the debt division at UDB. She is in charge of building and management of the Bank’s private equity portfolio with a focus on early-stage businesses and innovative start-ups that require patient capital to scale.

Susan brings a unique perspective of capital deployment to the table, working in an environment that employs debt, equity and various non-financial services in its interventions.
