Jo Fry
Jo Fry joined British International Investment (BII), the UK development finance institution, in late 2019 to set up their Intermediated Credit team focused on supporting lending to BII’s markets via intermediaries. She built this new team and strategy and now has a portfolio across credit funds, risk sharing with banks and structured debt in Africa and South and South-East Asia. Intermediated Credit’s investments have included high impact, innovative structures in the climate, microfinance and generalist private credit fund sectors.
Jo recently took on an expanded role which includes investing into PE funds in the financial services space.
She is currently based in BII’s Nairobi office.
Previously, Jo worked for GE Capital where she was Managing Director and Head of Investors, Capital Markets. Before joining GE Capital, Jo worked for Lloyds Banking Group as a Director in their Structured Securitisation team. She started her career at Dresdner Kleinwort in their Debt Principal Finance and Securitisation team.
Jo has an MSc in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (University of London) and a BA in Human Sciences from the University of Oxford.
