Audrey Obara

Audrey has over 18 years’ experience in finance and investments in developing countries. She is the Regional Director for Swedfund’s East Africa office and is responsible for originating transactions in financial services, renewable energy, infrastructure, climate and food systems. She works closely with various stakeholders such as investment partners, investees and associations to develop and execute long-term strategies to enhance economic development in Africa.

She has extensive experience in sustainable finance, investment appraisal, financial modelling, business valuation, development impact and corporate governance having worked with management and boards of several companies in Africa and Asia.

Prior to joining Swedfund, Audrey worked as a Senior Manager in the Transaction Advisory team at Deloitte Consulting – East Africa. She holds a Bachelor of Science (Actuarial Science) honours degree from the University of Nairobi, has completed the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification and has passed the CFA Level II exam. She enjoys music and sports, leisure travel, photography, interior design and collecting art from budding African artists.
